Hammerson plc (the "Company") was notified on 20 April 2012 by the trustees of the Hammerson Share Incentive Plan (the "SIP") that ordinary shares of 25 pence each (the "Shares") in the Company were awarded to David Atkins and Peter Cole under the Free Shares element of the SIP on 20 April 2012.  The price used to determine the number of Shares awarded was 412.00 pence per share.

The number of Shares awarded and Mr Atkins' and Mr Cole's total interests in the Company's Shares following the transactions are as follows:
