Following the exercise of nil cost options granted on 26 September 2003 under
the Hammerson 2000 Deferred Share Plan, a director of Hammerson plc, Mr R J G
Richards, acquired 37,256 ordinary shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc on 14
November 2006. Of the 37,256 shares acquired, 15,306 shares were sold at £14.25
on the same day.


As a result of these transactions, Mr R J G Richards now holds 72,896 ordinary
shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc.
