Following the exercise of nil cost options granted on 11 May 2004 under the
Hammerson 2000 Deferred Share Plan, a director of Hammerson plc, Mr S R Melliss,
acquired 32,241 ordinary shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc on 17 May 2007. Of
the 32,241 shares acquired, 26,153 shares were sold at £15.91 on the same day.



As a result of these transactions, Mr S R Melliss now holds 51,449 ordinary
shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc.
