Hammerson 2000 Deferred Share Plan, a director of Hammerson plc, Mr G Devaux,
acquired 27,465 ordinary shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc on 24 May 2007.

As a result of this transaction, Mr G Devaux now holds 122,461 ordinary shares
of 25p each in Hammerson plc.
