Following the exercise on 28 April 2003 of nil cost options granted on 15 June
2000 under the Hammerson 2000 Deferred Share Plan, Mr G Devaux, a director of
Hammerson plc, acquired 6,053 ordinary shares of 25p each in Hammerson plc. Mr
Devaux now holds a total of 8,053 ordinary shares in Hammerson plc.



The delay in this notification results from an administrative error for which
the Company apologises.
