Mr Simon Melliss, Finance Director of Hammerson plc, exercised options on 2
September 2004 over 32,900 ordinary 25p shares at 528p per share and 17,000
ordinary 25p shares at 347p per share.


Mr Simon Melliss then sold the resultant 49,900 shares at 745.50p per share on 2
September 2004.


Following this exercise, Mr Simon Melliss holds options under the Company's
Executive Share Option Scheme over a further 66,518 ordinary 25p shares.
