Hammerson plc - Investors/Analysts Visit to Paris
Hammerson plc is hosting a visit to Paris for analysts and investors, including
tours of certain of its properties and developments.
John Richards, Chief Executive, will refer to the group's three current office
developments in Central London, the total expenditure on which will amount to
£137 million when the buildings are completed, representing around 4% of the
group's total portfolio. He will confirm that the central London office property
investment market remains strong, particularly for buildings let on long leases
to good quality covenants. He will also highlight the fact that recent new
office development starts in the City are at the lowest level for over a decade.
Referring to Hammerson's UK retail portfolio, John Richards will say that the
performance of the group's shopping centres and the recently acquired
Grantchester assets is encouraging. The business of Grantchester is being
successfully integrated with Hammerson's existing retail activities. He will
also confirm that good progress is being made in connection with lettings at the
two major retail developments, Bullring in Birmingham and Liberty Centre,
Romford.
A synopsis of an address by John Richards, Hammerson's Chief Executive, and
copies of the presentations to be given today are available on the group's
website, www.hammerson.co.uk.
