Steven Whitfield appointed Managing Director of Camping Division
Holidaybreak, the European specialist holiday group, today announced that Steven
Whitfield has been appointed Managing Director of its Camping Division. He
replaces Matthew Cheetham who has decided to stand down from the role and has
also resigned from the plc Board.
Steven Whitfield has been the Camping Division's Operations Director since 1998,
having originally joined the business in 1984. Matthew Cheetham joined the
company in January 2004 from MyTravel where he was responsible for its
Specialist Holidays Division.
Carl Michel, CEO of Holidaybreak said: 'Matt has done a great job over the last
couple of years in reorganising our Camping business and restoring its fortunes.
With this job done, he feels it is time to seek out a new challenge. He leaves
with our thanks and best wishes for the future. Steven has over twenty years
experience of working in the Camping Division and is a well-known industry
figure. He is the ideal person to take Camping to the next stage of its
development.'
