On 17th August 1999, Holidaybreak plc received notification from Barclays PLC,
whose registered office is 54 Lombard Street, London, EC3P 3AH, that as at
13th August 1999 Barclays PLC, through its subsidiary Barclays Bank PLC, had a
notifiable interest in 1,493,512 ordinary 5p shares in Holidaybreak plc
representing 3.61% of the issued share capital of 41,378,635.
