NOTIFICATION OF INTEREST IN HOLIDAYBREAK PLC ORDINARY 5P SHARES

Holidaybreak plc have today received a notification from Standard Life
Investments of 1 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2LL that in terms of Part VI of
the Companies Act 1985 as amended by Section 134 of the Companies Act 1989, on
18 September 2003, Standard Life Investments sold 102,806 shares on behalf of
Standard Life Group.  This decreased the total held as a material interest to
1,411,624 shares being below 3% of the issued stock of that class.
