Statement re Expiration of Put Rights

                            EXPIRATION OF PUT RIGHTS


Except  where otherwise  defined, the  defined terms  in this  announcement (the
"Announcement")  shall be given the same meaning  as set out in the announcement
made by the Company on 21 October 2011.

HarbourVest  Global  Private  Equity  Limited  ("HVPE"  or  the "Company") today
announces  that the date by which a  Put Right Exercise Notice must be submitted
to the Company in order to exercise a Put Right has now passed.

The  Company confirms that no  Put Rights have been  exercised in respect of the
Company's shares.

The Put Rights and the rights attaching thereto have now been cancelled.
