Hargreaves Lansdown Plc
The Hargreaves Lansdown Employee Benefit Trust ('EBT') has made the following
purchases of ordinary shares all on the London market:

The shares held in the EBT are intended to be used to satisfy future awards made
under the Company's Employee Share Schemes.
The EBT is a discretionary trust for the benefit of employees of Hargreaves
Lansdown Plc and its subsidiaries. The Executive Directors of Hargreaves
Lansdown Plc are included as potential beneficiaries under the EBT and are
deemed to be interested in those shares and the dealings thereof. In addition,
the Executive Directors of Hargreaves Lansdown Plc are also directors of the
EBT.
Following these transactions, the EBT holds 13,618,359 shares on which dividends
are waived.
