Notification of Transaction of Directors, Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility ("PDMR") or Connected Persons  

Hargreaves Lansdown plc (the "Company") has received notification today from Alex Davies, a PDMR, that on 21st October 2010, he sold a total of 13,696 ordinary shares of 0.4 pence in the Company ("ordinary shares") at a price of 451.6p per share. The number of ordinary shares sold represented 0.003% of the ordinary shares in issue.

Following this transaction, the beneficial shareholding of Alex Davies is 1,215,829 ordinary shares representing 0.26% of the ordinary shares in issue.  

Hargreaves Lansdown (Nominees) Limited is the registered shareholder as nominee for the above PDMR.
