Stephen Lansdown, Chairman said, it is always sad when a long serving employee leaves the company but the Board appreciates that after seeing the group through a successful flotation in May 2007 and its first full year as a listed company that this is possibly the right time for Martin to make this decision. On behalf of the Board I would like to thank him for his contribution to the success of the group and wish him well for the future.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tracey as Group Finance Director. Tracey has worked for the company for nine years and played a key role in the flotation of the business in 2007. She combines considerable systems experience with a strong financial background and for many years she has contributed significantly to the Board and to the ongoing growth and development of the group.
Martin Mulligan said, having led the group through its flotation in May 2007 and its first full year as a listed company, I now feel the time is right to pursue some new challenges. I have made this difficult decision, in no small part, with the knowledge that Tracey Taylor has all the credentials and experience necessary to fill my role to the highest possible standard. I would like to offer my congratulations and wish her and the group every success in the future.
Martin's shareholding in the Group remains subject to the lock up provisions he entered into when Hargreaves Lansdown floated in May 2007.
