Board Appointment at Hargreaves Lansdown plc
The Board of Hargreaves Lansdown plc (Group Board) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Troiano as an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) of Hargreaves Lansdown plc and its subsidiary asset management company, Hargreaves Lansdown Fund Managers Ltd., with effect from 1 January 2020, subject to obtaining required regulatory confirmations.
John brings significant experience in investment and asset management having spent 38 years with Schroders. Over this period, John has held a wide range of roles including investment research and analysis, fund management, and has worked across both the retail and institutional divisions. As their Global Head of Distribution, John has the responsibility for the design and implementation of business strategy globally and the oversight of Schroders' sales and client service activities worldwide. John will be retiring from Schroders at the end of 2019.
John will also join the Group Board Risk Committee and the Hargreaves Lansdown Fund Managers Board as an INED, where he will provide further independent challenge and oversight.
John will seek election by our shareholders at our forthcoming AGM on 8 October 2020.

As at 16 December 2019, John Troiano has confirmed that he does not own shares in Hargreaves Lansdown plc.
