Interim dividend for year ending 30 June 2008

The Directors of Hargreaves Lansdown are pleased to announce that the Company
will pay an interim dividend as follows:


Ex Date *                               27 February 2008
Record Date **                          29 February 2008
Pay Date                                28 March 2008
Dividend per share                      3.065p



*  Shares bought on or after the ex-dividend date will not qualify for the
dividend.

** Shareholders must be on the Hargreaves Lansdown plc share register on this
date to receive the dividend.


The Board propose to declare a final dividend in late August 2008 with the
preliminary results announcement, payable at the end of September 2008.
