UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 31 July 2008 that following a transaction on 30 July 2008 Deutsche Bank AG has a notifiable interest in 7,953,449 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 5.06% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
