UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 21 November 2008 that following a transaction on 19 November 2008 Legal & General Group Plc has decreased its notifiable interest to 6,286,979 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 3.99% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
