UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 10 October 2008 that following a transaction on 9 October 2008 Deutsche Bank AG has a notifiable interest in 7,542,695 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 4.80% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
