UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 9 April 2009 that following a transaction on 8 April 2009 Legal & General Group PLC has reduced its notifiable interest to 6,111,937 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 3.88% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
