UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 12 May 2010 that, following a transaction on 10 May 2010, UBS Investment Bank has a notifiable interest in 21,375,829 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 7.14% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
