UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 20 May 2010 that, following a transaction on 19 May 2010, Pelham Capital Long/Short Master Fund has a notifiable interest in 15,163,788 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 5.07% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
