UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 6 October 2009 that following a transaction on 2 October 2009 AEGON UK Group of Companies has a notifiable interest in 10,512,811 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 6.69% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
