UK COAL was notified on 20 March 2007 by Fidelity Investments International 
('Fidelity') that, following a disposal of 8,804,279 ordinary shares of 1 pence
each in the Company, Fidelity no longer has a notifiable interest in the share
capital and voting rights of the Company.
