Chief Executive of RJB Mining PLC leaves
RJB Mining PLC announced today that Richard Budge has stepped down as Chief
Executive. Gordon McPhie, Finance Director, has been appointed acting Chief
Executive.
Chairman of RJB Mining PLC, John Robinson said, 'Richard Budge led the Company
through privatisation and has made an outstanding contribution to both the
development of the Company and the UK coal industry'.
Richard Budge said: 'I am proud to have been the founder of the Company and
its Chief Executive since before its listing on the Stock Exchange in 1993. I
have always profoundly believed in retaining the largest viable coal industry
within the UK and we have achieved that. The Company is in good shape to deal
with the challenges of the future.'
RJB Mining PLC will report its results for the year ended 31 December 2000 on
6 March 2001 and these are expected to be in line with market expectations.
