                 Hays plc appoints two additional Non-Executive Directors

Hays plc, at its Annual General Meeting today, announced that it had appointed
William Eccleshare and Paul Stoneham to the Board to serve as non-executive
Directors, with effect from 24 November 2004.


William Eccleshare is Chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam / Wunderman Europe and
Paul Stoneham is Managing Director of Boots Healthcare International and a
member of the Boots PLC Executive Committee.


Bob Lawson, Chairman, commented:


' I am pleased to welcome both William and Paul to the Board and we look forward
to the valuable contribution that we are sure both will bring to the Board's
deliberations.'
