Hays plc is pleased to announce that the resolution to approve the disposal of
the trading operations and certain assets of the logistics division was duly
passed by a majority of 99.9 per cent. of the total votes cast at an
extraordinary general meeting of the Company held earlier today. The votes cast
represented 50.1 per cent. of the total votes eligible for the meeting.
Completion of the disposal is now conditional only upon clearance by the
European Commission. The Board expects that this remaining condition will be
satisfied and the disposal completed early in 2004.
