HAYS COMPLETES SALE OF HAYS IMS BUSINESS TO IRON MOUNTAIN EUROPE LIMITED

Hays plc is pleased to announce that the sale of its Hays IMS business to Iron
Mountain Europe Limited completed today for total cash proceeds of £200m on a
cash and debt free basis.

This is the conclusion of the sale which was originally announced on Saturday,
12th July 2003.
