Hays plc announces that John Cole has resigned as Managing Director of the
Group.

As previously announced, Bob Lawson will become Chairman on 30 June and on
that date he will now also become acting CEO.  The present Chairman, Ronnie
Frost will be working closely with Bob Lawson until 30 June and will continue
thereafter to be available to support him as required.  The process of
appointing a new Managing Director is already under way.

Ronnie Frost said, 'I and the Board have complete confidence in Bob Lawson to
lead Hays forward together with the new Managing Director.  I remain
confident that Hays will be able to take full advantage of the tremendous
growth opportunities it has in the markets it serves.'
