Headlam Group plc


Headlam Group plc ('Headlam'), the leading UK floorcoverings distributor,
announces that on 31 October 2003 it acquired Manx Carpets, a supplier of high
quality wool rich carpets to independent retailers and department stores.


In the year to 31 December 2002 sales were £3.5 million and profits before tax
were £175,000.


Consideration payable in cash on completion is £500,000, funded through internal
resources, and net assets acquired are £350,000.


In line with the groups strategy the business will operate autonomously and be
relocated to the Coleshill distribution centre.
