Announcement - Director Shareholding

Notification received today that,following the release of shares pursuant to The
Heavitree Brewery PLC Profit Sharing Scheme, originally appropriated on 16th
April 1999, Mr G.J.Crocker and Mr L.Wood (both executive directors) are now
respectively  interested in 180,824 (14,361 beneficial and 166,463
non-beneficial) 'A' Limited Voting Ordinary Shares, and 44,809 (31,292
beneficial and 13,517 non-beneficial) 'A' Limited Voting Ordinary Shares.

The above holdings represent 4.7% and 1.1% respectively, of the relevant share
capital.
