Helical Bar plc (the 'Company') announces that it was informed today that
Michael Slade, Managing Director of the Company, donated 63,613 ordinary shares
to charity on 26 September 2006.  This reduces his beneficial holding to
12,685,134 shares, representing 13.3% of the issued share capital of the
Company.
