NOTIFICATION OF SHARE PURCHASE

HELICAL BAR PLC ('Helical Bar 'or 'the Company')

The Company was informed today that the following transactions had taken place:

1.  Helical Bar plc Employee Share Ownership Plan Trust ('ESOP')

On 29th May 2008 the Company's ESOP purchased 700,000 ordinary 1p shares in the company at 305p per share. Following this purchase the ESOP holds 5,170,868 (5.4%) ordinary 1p shares in the company.
