REPURCHASE OF SHARES

Helical Bar plc announces that on 23 October 2003 it purchased
for cancellation  75,000  of its ordinary shares at a price
of 723pence per share from Cazenove & Co. Ltd.

These shares were purchased pursuant to an instruction given by Helical
Bar to Cazenove on 30 September 2003.
