                         NOTIFICATION OF SHARE PURCHASE

                HELICAL BAR PLC ('Helical Bar' or 'the Company')


The Company was informed that the following transaction had taken place:


1.         Helical Bar plc Employee Share Ownership Plan Trust ('ESOP')

On 6 June 2007 the Company's ESOP purchased 515,462 ordinary 1p shares in the
company at 425p per share.  Following this purchase the ESOP holds 5,974,701
(6.2%) ordinary 1p shares in the company.
