Acquisition of corporate member
The Company announces that it has acquired a small corporate member of Lloyd's
for a consideration of approximately £150,000. The 2008 underwriting capacity
of the corporate member is approximately £300,000.
Jeremy Evans, a Hampden Underwriting director, said:
'We are pleased to have made this acquisition which, although small, adds to
the underwriting capacity we acquired at last year's auctions and is the first
implementation of our stated strategy of acquiring corporate members as suitable
opportunities arise'.
