Appointment of a new Director

The Board of Henderson EuroTrust plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Ekaterina (Katya) Thomson, as a non-executive director with effect from 17 May 2017. 

Katya is a corporate finance, strategy and business development professional with over twenty years of experience in the UK and Europe.  She started her career at Deloitte LLP where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996.  Katya has held positions at Lazard Brothers & Co, ABN Amro Bank NV and Thomas Cook Group plc, where she served as Group Corporate Development Director.  Currently she runs her own business development consultancy and is a Director and Member of the Supervisory Board of Thomas Cook Nederland BV.  She is also a Director of The New Carnival Company CIC, a not-for-profit arts development organisation. 

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are no details to be disclosed in relation to Katya Thomson.

Our Audit Chair, John Cornish, will be retiring at the next Annual General Meeting in November 2017 after ten years as a Director.  It is our intention that Katya will become Audit Chair following John's retirement.
