HENDERSON FAR EAST INCOME LIMITED 

The Company announces the allotment of 200,000 Ordinary Shares of 239p on 22 April 2009, each fully paid under its block listing facility.

These shares will be issued for cash on 27 April 2009 at a price of 239p per share. The net asset value per Ordinary Share at the close of business on 21 April 2009 was 231.3p.

As at 27 April 2009 the issued share capital will be 78,447,621 and the number of voting rights will be 78,447,621.
