HENDERSON FAR EAST INCOME LIMITED 

The Company announces the allotment of 125,000 Ordinary Shares at 254.5p on 6 July 2009, each fully paid under its block listing facility. The net asset value per Ordinary Share at the close of business on 3 June 2009 was 249.1p.

These shares will be issued for cash on 9 July 2009. As at 9 July 2009 the issued share capital will be 81,262,621 and the number of voting rights will be 81,262,621.
