Appointment of a New Director

Henderson High Income Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jonathan Silver as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 2 January 2019. 

Jonathan is a non-executive director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of both Spirent Communications plc and Invesco Income Growth Trust plc.  He is also a non-executive director, Vice Chairman and Audit Committee Chairman of East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.  He was Chief Financial Officer on the main Board of Laird PLC until he retired in May 2015, having held that position since 1994.  Prior to 1994, he held various senior financial positions within Laird PLC, which he joined in 1986.  He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. 

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that, other than the directorships listed above, there are no details to be disclosed in relation to Jonathan Silver.
