ALLOTMENT OF SHARES

Henderson High Income Trust plc (the "Company") announces that it has allotted 431,848 new ordinary shares of 5p each fully paid under its block listing facility.  These shares were issued for cash today at a price of 181.9p per share.

The total number of shares in issue is now 110,932,365. 

Each share has one vote; therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company is 110,932,365. 

The above figure 110,932,365 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Henderson High Income Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
