PAYS FIRST INTERIM DIVIDEND FOR THE PERIOD ENDING 31 AUGUST 2012

Henderson International Income Trust plc has declared a first interim dividend of 0.6p per Ordinary Share in respect of the period ending 31 August 2012 payable on 31 August 2011 to shareholders registered on 12 August 2011.  The Company's shares go ex-dividend on 10 August 2011.

This is the first dividend to be paid by the Company in accordance with the Prospectus and since launch on 28 April 2011.
