APPOINTMENT OF NEW AUDITOR

Henderson Opportunities Trust PLC (the 'Company') announces that, following a formal tender process led by the Audit Committee, the Board has approved the appointment of BDO LLP as auditor for the financial year ending 31 October 2018, subject to completing the necessary processes. Their appointment will be subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting in March 2018.

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP remain the Company's auditor for the financial year ended 31 October 2017.
