Interim Management Statement
for the period from 31 October 2008 to 19 March 2009

Henderson Opportunities Trust plc ('the Company') hereby states that no material events or transactions in respect of the Company have taken place during the period.  

As announced on 29 January 2009, and as approved at the Annual General Meeting held today, a final dividend of 11.50p per ordinary share, in respect of the year ended 31 October 2008, will be paid on 26 March 2009 to shareholders on the register of members on 27 February 2009. 

The Annual General Meeting was held today. All the resolutions were duly passed, including an ordinary resolution that the Company continue as an investment trust.

The Company's Manager is Henderson Global Investors Limited ('Henderson').  Henderson announces the Company's net asset value per share on a daily basis and publishes a monthly factsheet on the Company. This and further information on the financial position and performance of the Company, including the market prices of the Company's shares, can be found on the Manager's website at www.itshenderson.com.  

The market price of the Company's ordinary shares is quoted in the Financial Times and other leading newspapers.
