Interim Management Statement
for the period from 30 April 2009 to 17 September 2009

Henderson Opportunities Trust plc ('the Company') hereby states that no material events or transactions in respect of the Company have taken place during the period. 

During the period the results from the companies in the portfolio have mainly been satisfactory. This has resulted in investor confidence increasing and share prices appreciating.

As announced on 25 June 2009, an interim dividend of 3.00p per ordinary share, in respect of the year ending 31 October 2009, will be paid on 25 September 2009 to shareholders on the register of members on 28 August 2009. 

The Company's Manager is Henderson Global Investors Limited ('Henderson').  Henderson announces the Company's net asset value per share on a daily basis and publishes a monthly factsheet on the Company. This and further information on the financial position and performance of the Company, including the market prices of the Company's shares, can be found on the Manager's website at www.itshenderson.com or www.hendersonopportunitiestrust.com. 

The market price of the Company's ordinary shares is quoted in the Financial Times and other leading newspapers.
