                             Listing Rule 9.6.13 R


In respect of the appointment to the board of Mr Keith Edward Percy, announced
earlier today, the following details are reported in accordance with Listing
Rule 9.6.13 R.

Mr Percy is Chairman of Brunner Investment Trust plc and a director of JP Morgan
Fleming Japanese Investment Trust plc and Standard Life Equity Income Trust plc.
  There have been no public criticisms of Mr Percy by any statutory or
regulatory authority, with the exception of a press release issued by IMRO in
January 1999 regarding Mr Percy being reprimanded.  IMRO stated that 'there is
no allegation of dishonesty or lack of integrity in Keith Percy's conduct'.
There is no other information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R in
respect of Mr Percy.
