THE HENDERSON SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

As at close of business on 7 April 2009, the unaudited net asset value per share calculated in accordance with the AIC formula (including current financial year revenue items) was 177.9p and the net asset value per share including debt marked at fair value was 169.9p. 

As at close of business on 7 April 2009, the unaudited net asset value per share (calculated excluding current financial year revenue items) was 174.4p and the net asset value per share including debt marked at fair value was 166.4p.
