THE HENDERSON SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

As at close of business on 4 August 2010, the unaudited net asset value per share calculated in accordance with the AIC formula (including current financial year revenue items) was 297.1p and the net asset value per share including debt marked at fair value was 290.0p.

As at close of business on 4 August 2010, the unaudited net asset value per share (calculated excluding current financial year revenue items) was 293.1p and the net asset value per share including debt marked at fair value was 285.9p.
