THE HENDERSON SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

As at close of business on 16 January 2012, the unaudited net asset value per share calculated in accordance with the AIC formula (including current financial year revenue items) was 351.7p and the net asset value per share including debt marked at fair value was 345.0p.

As at close of business on 16 January 2012, the unaudited net asset value per share (calculated excluding current financial year revenue items) was 349.1p and the net asset value per share including debt marked at fair value was 342.4p.
