Annual General Meeting held on 4 October 2013

The Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc (the Company) announces that, at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held earlier today, all the resolutions put to the meeting were duly passed on a show of hands.  

The full text of all the resolutions can be found in the Notice of Meeting, copies of which are available for viewing at www.Hemscott.com/nsm.doc.

The Company also announces that The Honourable James Nelson has retired from the Board with effect from the conclusion of the AGM. Keith Percy, a Director of the Board since July 2006, will succeed James Nelson as the Company's Senior Independent Director.
